Do you always want the latest and greatest? And are you looking for a stylish eye-catcher in your living room? Then the Duroflame Abel Large is the ultimate eye-catcher in your home. The Abel Large is named after the famous Groningen native Abel Tasman, an experienced sailor and ambitious explorer. He served in the Dutch East India Company (VOC) and discovered the South Land. Aldrik Sebens, founder of Duroflame, like Abel, enjoys venturing into uncharted territory, always seeking innovation. The Duroflame Abel Large owes its name to the fact that it is Duroflame's most innovative stove and a technical development of recent years.
Design of a traditional wood stove
The Duroflame Abel Large is a high-quality stove made in the Netherlands. Compared to other Duroflame stoves, its biggest difference is its appearance. The flue can be connected either at the top or the rear. The Abel Large's rounded shape already gives it a unique look. But by concealing the pellet feeder lid, the stove resembles a traditional wood-burning stove even more. The coziness of yesteryear in a sustainable design.
Cleaner than ever
The Duroflame Abel Large operates at a low power level (5kW), allowing it to burn at a higher setting more often. The interior is made of vermiculite, which generates more heat in the combustion chamber, increases efficiency, and ensures cleaner combustion. This keeps the pellet stove's glass clean for longer, allowing you to enjoy the wonderful fire for longer. Duroflame has also adapted the flue/air intake, making it suitable for both concentric and open connections.
Simple technique
Like the other Duroflame pellet stoves, the Abel Large also features simple technology and easy adjustment. The continuously rotating auger motor and the absence of a built-in fan make this pellet stove one of the quietest of its kind. The Duroflame Abel Large is robust and equipped with the latest technology. Can you picture it in your living room?

Why a pellet stove?
-
Efficient heating
Pellet stoves offer high efficiency and convert most of the fuel into heat. This means you use less energy and heat your home efficiently. The automatic control also ensures a consistently pleasant temperature, allowing you to enjoy comfort without wasting energy.
-
Sustainable fuel
Pellets are made from compressed residual wood, often from the timber industry. No chemicals are added, making them a clean and renewable fuel. CO₂ emissions are low because the wood has already absorbed CO₂ during its growth. Heating with pellets is therefore an environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels.
-
Lower energy costs
A pellet stove helps you save on heating costs by burning more efficiently than many traditional systems. The fuel is often cheaper than gas or oil, and thanks to its high efficiency, you need less of it. Moreover, many stoves are programmable, which saves even more energy. Good for your wallet and the environment.
