Duroflame Abel: Innovation in the form of a classic wood stove
Want the latest and greatest in your home, but with the charm of a classic wood stove? Then the Duroflame Abel is the pellet stove for you. Rugged, innovative, and strikingly designed – a real eye-catcher in any living room.
Past and future in one design
The Abel is named after explorer Abel Tasman and symbolizes pioneering. This stove is Duroflame's most innovative model yet. By neatly concealing the control panel and pellet hopper lid, the stove looks even more like a traditional wood-burning stove. The rounded shape and dual flue options—both top and rear—enhance this classic character while retaining modern technology.
Cleaner, smarter, quieter
Thanks to its vermiculite-lined combustion chamber, the Abel reaches a higher temperature, resulting in cleaner combustion and a clearer glass pane for a longer period of time. The flue is suitable for both open and concentric connections , making the stove suitable for use in airtight homes.
Technically simple, quiet in use
Like all Duroflame stoves, the Abel is all about ease of use. Simple operation, optional remote control, and no unnecessary bells and whistles. Thanks to the continuously rotating auger and the absence of a convection fan, the Abel is also exceptionally quiet . An ideal choice for those who appreciate both peace and quiet and warmth.
Compact, powerful and full of character
The Duroflame Abel, with its 5 kW output, provides sufficient heat for small to medium-sized spaces, and does so with high efficiency. A sustainable heat source in a design that's worth showing off.

Why a pellet stove?
-
Efficient heating
Pellet stoves offer high efficiency and convert most of the fuel into heat. This means you use less energy and heat your home efficiently. The automatic control also ensures a consistently pleasant temperature, allowing you to enjoy comfort without wasting energy.
-
Sustainable fuel
Pellets are made from compressed residual wood, often from the timber industry. No chemicals are added, making them a clean and renewable fuel. CO₂ emissions are low because the wood has already absorbed CO₂ during its growth. Heating with pellets is therefore an environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels.
-
Lower energy costs
A pellet stove helps you save on heating costs by burning more efficiently than many traditional systems. The fuel is often cheaper than gas or oil, and thanks to its high efficiency, you need less of it. Moreover, many stoves are programmable, which saves even more energy. Good for your wallet and the environment.
